Materials & Care

Alpine Wool Arts pieces are constructed from natural wool selected for depth, durability, and warmth. Each object is hand-hooked in limited quantities, with attention to proportion and continuity across collections.

Subtle variation in texture, loop height, and tone is inherent to the process and contributes to the character of the work.

Materials

Front: 100% wool

Backing: Cotton corduroy, wool, or other natural material as noted on individual product pages.

Insert: Hypoallergenic fill

Natural fibers respond to light, time, and touch. Variation in color and surface reflects the qualities of the wool and the pace of hand production.

Care

Handle gently. Avoid pulling at seams.

To remove dust and lint, brush lightly using a soft natural-bristle garment brush.

Spot clean with a damp cloth. Blot; do not rub.

Professional dry cleaning is recommended for thorough cleaning.

Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which may soften natural dyes over time.

Rotate periodically, where design permits, to ensure even wear.

Dense wool construction allows these pieces to retain structure and texture with minimal intervention.

Variation

Irregularities in surface and proportion are inherent to hand-hooked work. Differences in loop height, density, and tone are not defects but reflections of process.

Stewardship & Longevity

Caring for these objects extends their life. Longevity reflects care for both material and landscape.
